To Weed or Not to Weed

Jay is this a keeper plant or a weed? I think maybe it's the same as the plant in the kitchen window. It's in the little round garden.

I've struggled about when and where to weed to the point that I was loosing the flowers in the weeds, or is that new flowers from seeds? It got so bad this week that I took a poll with myself and as the only one surveyed I won, so I started to weed. I know what the poppies look like as seedlings so they get to stay. Most everything else in the flower beds by the raspberry bushes are going. The round garden in the main yard is going to get another week or two before I start to weed it. It may have some things that I can identify as keepers. Sorry Jay! I will put the seedlings from the back porch in when they get a little bigger. The good news is the only casualty this week was the ivy. It turns out that plant roots rot and the plant turns yellow when they get to wet! A.J. said they don't smell very good either!!

Dead or Alive?

Well it's questionable if all of the plants will make the summer but most are still with us. I'm not counting the Tulips, next summer will tell if they come back however there is a vine looking a little rough. A.J. said he might have to get a new one in town if the Miracle Grow doesn't do the trick. I should have kept that a secrect, I could have just said look what that Miracle Grow did!

Watering

After Grandpa said no! Sorry I'm still getting the hang of this so you have to read from the bottom up!

"Hey there's the dog"

she was getting the hang of it until -

After some instruction from Grandpa -

Annabelle wanted a turn at watering the garden.

A Mom's Life

Sally has had a bit of a rough week taking care of her little family and me, her Mom. Here Layla thought it was about time she got a little attention!

Operator Error, here are the pictures. Oh, I may have killed the tulips but they will be back next year, I hope.
Week one, the journey begins. Well I have not killed one flower in the last 6 days. I hope that gives Jay encouragement that we may make the summer without casualties. Also remember, being a poor spelling is not a character flaw!
